Redhill drills six m of 2,645 ppm Cu at Aspen

2013-06-12 08:13 ET - News Release

Mr. Graham Harris reports

REDHILL RESOURCES CORP.: EXPLORATION UPDATE ON ASPEN PROPERTIES IN BLACKWATER GOLD CAMP

Redhill Resources Corp. is providing an update on exploration progress completed on its Aspen properties, located approximately 80 kilometres south-southwest of Vanderhoof, B.C., in the Blackwater area of the Nechako Plateau region.

The Aspen properties cover 35,600 hectares in two separate blocks. Aspen West is strategically located west of the Chu molybdenum deposit (TTM Resources Inc.) and adjoins New Gold Inc.'s Blackwater property to the northeast of the Blackwater gold-silver deposit. Aspen East is located east of TTM Resources' Chu deposit and 30 kilometres east-northeast of Blackwater.

The 2013 drilling program tested some of the induced-polarization anomalies detected in 2012 as well as a few historical IP anomalies detected (but not drilled) by Rio Tinto in 1969. During the program a total of 13 holes were drilled, totalling 1,785 metres. Significant results from this program are tabulated.

Since the drilling of these IP anomalies failed to return any significant intersections of mineralization, no further drilling is planned in this area.

Field crews have returned to the northern portion of the Aspen property to complete a prospecting and sampling program aimed at finding the source of gold-bearing boulders reported on the property in previous exploration programs. This program, planned to run for three to four weeks in duration, will follow up on surface samples ranging from background anomalous gold values as high as 3.7 grams per tonne. Any significant results will be followed up with a program of trenching and diamond drilling if appropriate.
