James Dines, writing in a Sept. 26, 2014, issue of The Dines Letter, says sell Rare Element Resources Ltd. at 77 cents. This was one of Mr. Dines's high-flying rare earth picks in 2010 and 2011, but not anymore. He said buy six times between Aug. 14, 2009, and Sept. 14, 2012, at prices ranging from $2.25 and $9.56. Assuming an investment of $1,000 for each of those six buys, selling the $6,000 investment at 77 cents would yield a $5,002 loss. Mr. Dines does not discuss Rare Element in this issue; he just records the sell on the newsletter's back page. Elsewhere, he says the world is in a boa-constricting, gradually tightening deflation and economists have been coping unintelligently. They have, he notes, been locked in a mindless suppression of interest rates, with recklessly high levels of debt and historically high levels of money overprinting. For six consecutive years, the Washington Economic Establishment has overprinted money, and Mr. Dines says he suspects more ominous results are ahead.
