James Dines, writing in a June 27, 2014, issue of The Dines Letter, says sell Quest Rare Minerals Ltd. at 30 cents. The editor said buy seven times between July 17, 2009, and Oct. 25, 2013, at prices ranging from 64 cents to $6.73. Assuming an investment of $1,000 for each of the seven buys, selling at 30 cents would have resulted in a $5,650 loss. The editor mentions Quest Rare briefly in this issue; he tells his readers to sell the stock and invest the proceeds into Tasman Metals Ltd., his "best rare earth pick." Elsewhere in the newsletter, Mr. Dines warns of "The Coming Germs War." Recently, he says, Medecins San Frontiere (Doctors Without Borders) said Ebola is out of control. Mr. Dines says the whole medical world should be trying to stop this monster virus before it escapes Africa. Cases have been diagnosed in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia so far, with 399 people dead. All it would take to spread, he says, would be one infected person unknowingly boarding an airplane. The World Health Organization will meet to discuss the virus on July 2. Tranmission, Mr. Dines notes, occurs through contact with the bodily fluids of someone infected or objects that have come in contact with those infected bodily fluids. Symptoms can take three weeks to develop and include fever, muscle pain, vomitting, diarrhea and bleeding.
