The TSX Venture Exchange has accepted for filing documentation pertaining to a share purchase agreement dated April 28, 2016, between Poet Technologies Inc. and several arm's-length parties, whereby the company has acquired all the issued and outstanding shares of DenseLight Semiconductors Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based private designer, manufacturer and provider of photonic sensing and optical light source products.

Under the terms of the agreement, the company will issue approximately 16 million common shares to the vendors as consideration. Furthermore, an additional 1.3 million common shares are issuable should DenseLight exceed certain predetermined revenue targets during 2016.
