MARGAUX RESOURCES ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF ADVISORY COMMITTEE, VP BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND GRANTING OF STOCK OPTIONS

Margaux Resources Ltd. has formed a new advisory committee and welcomes the members who have joined the Margaux team to support management in advancing the Jersey-Emerald project.

Steve Letwin, Christopher Stewart, Dr. Rogerio Monteiro, PGeo, and Dr. Victor Zhao, PGeo, have joined Margaux to advise the company and board of directors to provide expertise and to assist the company in advancing its mineral exploration projects.

"Bringing such an experienced advisory committee to Margaux allows the company to benefit from their depth of mining knowledge and industry-focused strategic thinking," said Tyler Rice, president and chief executive officer. "I am very excited to have these four well-known and highly experienced individuals join the Margaux team, for them to contribute their invaluable expertise and experience to the company for the benefit of our shareholders, and to assist the company with moving towards production."

Mr. Letwin -- president and chief executive officer of Iamgold Corp.

Mr. Letwin brings over 30 years of experience from the resource sector, where he specializes in corporate finance, operational management, and merger and acquisitions, including six years as president and CEO of Iamgold.

Prior to joining Iamgold, Mr. Letwin was based in Houston, Tex., where he was the executive vice-president of gas transportation and international with Enbridge Inc. Before joining Enbridge, he served as president and chief operating officer of TransCanada Energy.

Mr. Letwin holds an MBA from the University of Windsor, is a certified general accountant, a graduate of McMaster University (BSc honours) and a graduate of the Harvard advanced management program.

Mr. Stewart -- former vice-president of operations for Kirkland Lake Gold Inc.

Mr. Stewart brings over 24 years of diversified experience in the mining industry, 15 years working with mining contractors and nine years working with mining companies.

Most recently, Mr. Stewart was based in Ontario, where he was the vice-president of operations for Kirkland Lake Gold, where he was responsible for the mining and milling operations within the company. Before joining Kirkland Lake Gold, he served as president and CEO of Liberty Mines Inc., as well as various positions at BHP Billiton, DMC Mining Services and Lake Shore Gold Corp.

Mr. Stewart is a professional engineer and holds a bachelor of science in mining engineering from Queen's University.

Dr. Zhao, PGeo -- president of Continental Geology & Mining Consulting Inc.

Dr. Zhao brings over 30 years of mining industry experience, working with all types of precious metals and non-ferrous metal mineral deposits.

Dr. Zhao has been president of CGMC since March, 2016. CGMC is an independent consultancy firm that provides data integration, target generation and exploration project review. Prior to CGMC, Dr. Zhao worked for Canadian Royalties Inc. as exploration supervisor for six years. Before that, he looked after the Sungai lead-zinc exploration project for Sumatra Minerals in Indonesia, and was also senior geologist for project generation of Barrick Gold (China) Ltd. and Placer Dome (China) Ltd. Dr. Zhao worked for the Gold Geology Institute for 15 years in multiple roles, including director of the geophysical and geochemical exploration research division.

Dr. Zhao is a registered professional geoscientist. He obtained his PhD of science from Peking University, master of applied geochemistry, and bachelor of geochemistry and exploration from Changchun University of Geosciences (now Jilin University). In addition, he was a postdoctoral research fellow in the China Research Centre of Mineral Resources Exploration (a co-operative project between Japan and China), Institute of Geology & Geophysics, China Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Monteiro, PGeo -- president and chief structural economic geologist of Vektore Exploration Consulting Corp.

Dr. Monteiro brings more than 30 years of experience in the global mining industry, and is a recognized researcher and leader in the development of practical new tools to optimize mineral exploration and target development.

Dr. Monteiro founded Vektore in 2012, a company focused on advancing the applied structural economic geology field, as well as developing and optimizing new tools and methods. Prior to Vektore, Dr. Monteiro was the chief structural geologist for Vale Global Exploration and senior exploration geologist at Inco Ltd.

Dr. Monteiro graduated from Brazil UNISINOS in 1982 and went on to earn his MSc in 1990 from UFRGS. In 1996, he completed his PhD at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ont. In 2013, Dr. Monteiro was appointed the Richard W. Hutchinson visiting industrial professor in mineral deposits studies at the University of Western Ontario.

Appointment of VP business development

In addition, Margaux is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan Bignucolo as vice-president of business development, effective on Nov. 11, 2016. Mr. Bignucolo is a seasoned investor relations executive and brings more than 18 years of experience in a broad array of industries to his role at Margaux.

For the last five years, he was at the Pace Network, where he assisted clients in identifying new opportunities and attracting new investors, while building strategic alliances and improving stakeholder communications. Prior to the Pace Network, he owned and ran his own construction and resource services company in Northern Ontario.

Mr. Rice, president and CEO, stated, "We are very pleased to have someone of Ryan's calibre join the Margaux team."

Granting of stock options

Finally, Margaux wishes to announce that it has granted an aggregate of 1,305,000 common share purchase options in accordance with the company's shareholder-approved stock option plan. These stock options include 575,000 options to directors, being Mr. Letwin, Robert Derkitt and Douglas Foster, 250,000 to officers, being Jason Linkewich and Mr. Bignucolo, 200,000 to the advisory committee, and the balance to consultants and investor relations consultants. The stock options are exercisable at a price of 25 cents per share, expire in five years and vest over a period of three years, with one-third of the options vesting immediately, and one-third vesting at the end of each the first and second anniversary of the date of grant.
