MERCATOR MINERALS PROVIDES UPDATE ON COMBINATION WITH INTERGEO

Mercator Minerals Ltd. has received a final order from the Supreme Court of British Columbia and all necessary Canadian and United States governmental regulatory approvals with respect to the proposed business combination between Mercator and Intergeo MMC Ltd. announced on Dec. 12, 2013.

Mercator and Intergeo have received and responded to a request for information regarding the terms and conditions of the arrangement from the Russian Federal Anti-Monopoly Services, the federal executive body responsible for foreign investments in the Russian Federation. Mercator is of the view that these responses will be satisfactory for FAS purposes.

Completion of the arrangement remains subject to final acceptance of the arrangement by the Toronto Stock Exchange and the satisfaction or waiver of all remaining conditions precedent, all of which are proceeding. Mercator will continue to provide updates as the arrangement advances toward completion.
