Int'l Montoro to conduct ZTEM survey at Elliot Lake

2018-05-25 20:55 ET - News Release

Mr. Gary Musil reports

GEOTECH MOBILIZES FOR SERPENT RIVER-PECORS ZTEM HELICOPTER SURVEY, ELLIOT LAKE, ONTARIO

Geotech Ltd., doing business as Geotech Airborne, of Aurora, Ont., has informed International Montoro Resources Inc. that it is mobilizing its crew to Elliot Lake, Ont., to prepare for the helicopter-borne ZTEM geophysical survey of approximately 280 line kilometres at 200-metre line spacing, increasing further information to depths over 2,000 metres, which will assist in better targeting the next phase of diamond drilling on its Serpent River-Pecors Ni-Cu-PGE (nickel-copper-platinum-group-element) project.

Recent ZTEM 2-D synthetic modelling (Legault, 2017) suggests that more than 7.5 million tonnes of nickel-copper orebodies at more-than-700-to-2,100-metre-depth targets could be detected and resolved as anomalies, provided they are sufficiently conductive (more than 100S) and reasonably 2-D (approximately one to three kilometres long). Hence, ZTEM is considered to be ideally suited for detecting and for targeting future diamond drilling of any potentially deeply buried (more than 700 metres) Ni-Cu-PGE mineralized massive sulphide bodies that lie within the Pecors mafic intrusive.

ZTEM has been successfully applied as a follow-up to VTEM over magmatic massive sulphide (MMS) Ni-Cu deposits to determine their potential extensions to depth. These include the Ni-Cu-PGE prospect at the Western Area-Mustang Minerals joint venture, East Bull Lake anorthosite (Orta et al., 2011), in nearby Massey, Ont., where ZTEM successfully defined a deep PGE mineralized, troctolitic layer at 850-metre depths that was originally identified in MT surveys from the 1980s (Kurtz et al., 1986). Additional successful ZTEM applications were detailed in International Montoro's Nov. 1, 2017, news release.

About International Montoro Resources Inc.

International Montoro is focused on advancing its 100-per-cent-owned Serpent River-Elliot Lake, Northern Ontario, Pecors magnetic anomaly, a potential Ni-Cu-PGE discovery. The southwestern portion of the property has located uranium/REE (rare-earth elements) mineralization from previous drilling in the general area where Rio Algom discovered uranium. The property comprises 10 mineral claims (115 units) or approximately 1,840 hectares.
