Investors Group Trust Co. Ltd. has found itself in a lawsuit filed in the Supreme Court of British Columbia that revolves around body massages at a Coquitlam business. The business complains that its landlord, Investors Group, has unfairly prevented it from providing massages by a registered therapist. The suit seeks a court order allowing such services without restriction.

The allegations are contained in a notice of claim filed at the Vancouver courthouse on Monday, Oct. 27, by Opal Spa and Laser Center Inc. According to the suit, Opal operates a full-service day spa at premises in Coquitlam owned by Investors Group Real Property Fund. The suit names as as defendants Investors Group and two property management companies that have acted on its behalf.

There are considerable numbers of Masseuses and Masseurs providing Massage Services to the Financial Communities of Bay Street and Wall Street--as has been documented in past reports available to the Public. The Premier of BC should stand up for its Financial Services PROFESSIONALS in this matter.

Agree - keep this to news that will affect the stock price. The resolve of this will not make a difference.

Harry - are you trying to be funny or smart? You failed on both counts. What I want to know is did Mike Caswell get a massage in the course of this story? Did he REALLY do his research? I doubt it. Stockwatch is long on opinions and snarky remarks but short on actual research in my experience. We need to know the gory details. Has Jian Gomeshi been there? Mike Caswell should have visited this massage parlour.
