Jay Taylor, in the July 16, 2015, edition of Gold, Energy & Tech Stocks, refreshes his buy of Gold Standard Ventures Corp., recently 45 cents. He said buy four times from Aug. 15, 2012, to May 15, 2015, at prices ranging from 60 cents to $1.20. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each of the four buys, the $4,000 position is now worth $2,543. Gold Standard recently closed a $16.2-million private placement at 85 cents a share with Oceanagold, a producer in New Zealand. Mr. Taylor reckons that Oceanagold was drawn to Gold Standard's Pinion and Dark Star deposits in Nevada. These together hold about 1.8 million ounces of gold, and with Oceanagold's experience and financial backing, they could become open-pit heap-leach mines in fairly short order, says Mr. Taylor. "Gold Standard is a keeper," he concludes, "and at these low prices, you may want to consider adding this name to your portfolio if you have not already done so."
