GEONOVUS MEDIA WRAPS HOLLYWOOD SHOOT WITH STARS LANCE REDDICK, TROY EVANS AND JASON LONDON JUST IN TIME FOR VIFF

GeoNovus Media Corp. has provided an update. Filming for the short film Spoken Word has concluded in Los Angeles and is ready for postproduction in Vancouver. The team is back in Canada just in time for the Vancouver International Film Festival which runs Sept. 24 to Oct. 9, 2015. The GNM production Spoken Word stars actor Lance Reddick, as an African American judge in a moral conflict, who must overcome prejudice in his search for redemption. Mr. Reddick is best known for portraying Cedric Daniels in The Wire, Phillip Broyles in Fringe and Matthew Abbadon on the hit television series Lost, created by Damon Lindelof and J.J. Abrams. The film also stars Troy Evans and Jason London. Mr. Evans is best known for Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994), ER (1994) and Epic (2013) while Mr. London is best known for The Man in the Moon with Reese Witherspoon (1991), Dazed and Confused (1993), and Jason and the Argonauts (2000), as well as being a director himself.

Gabriel Napora said: "I was extremely proud to be part of this timely story and project and to work with some incredible actors. Watching actors like Lance, Troy and Jason and the rest of the cast, was truly amazing." Spoken Word was directed by the writer, Ilan Srulovicz, I Hate Ned (2011), Grit (2015) and Zero Day (2015) and shot using RED cameras and is expected to be completed next month. Timothy Marlowe stated: "The material attracted me right away and I just knew GeoNovus had to produce this film. I think we could be up for a lot of awards with this one."
