GEONOVUS MEDIA ANNOUNCES ENTERTAINMENT LAWYER, RICHARD RAINEY, BA, LLB TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

GeoNovus Media Corp. is pleased to welcome Richard Rainey to its board of directors. Mr. Rainey is a commercial lawyer experienced in the business of music, and was a founder of Realia Music Ltd., an early on-line licensor of music for film and television. His current practice is focused on business acquisitions and licensing matters.

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Mr. Rainey is a graduate of Simon Fraser University, and the University of British Columbia and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1992. Mr. Rainey practised business and securities law in Vancouver with Douglas, Symes & Brissenden, and with Heenan Blaikie. Since 2014, Mr. Rainey has been counsel at Drysdale Bacon McStravick LLP.

Mr. Rainey is a former member of the Simon Fraser University senate, the board of governors of the Children's Foundation of British Columbia, and the board of governors of the Meadowridge School Society. Mr. Rainey has also previously served on the advisory planning commission to the City of Burnaby, is a regular instructor in corporate law with the Professional Legal Training Course (the British Columbia bar admission course), and has instructed in the areas of licensing law with the People's Law School.

The company further announces it has set a total of 1.5 million options at a price of five cents to directors and a consultant in accordance with the company's stock option plan.
