Gulfside Minerals starts work at B.C. projects

2011-07-05 11:13 ET - News Release

Mr. Robert Card reports

GULFSIDE MINERALS BEGINS WORK ON ATLIN PROPERTIES

Gulfside Minerals Ltd. has commenced work on its four property groups in the Atlin mining division, British Columbia, located about 120 kilometres southeast of Atlin, B.C., and 150 km northwest of Dease Lake, B.C. Company geologist, Alex Burton, PEng, and a prospecting team will be on-site early this week.

On the Northern Treasure property, Gulfside seeks to confirm the anomalous 602-part-per-billion-gold stream-sediment sample from a regional geochemical survey as well as to confirm a 1.47-gram-per-tonne-gold chip sample taken on the property (B.C. assessment report 22384), and to examine the extent of mineralization.

On the Bryer property, the company plans to follow up on the 17 g/t (B.C. assessment report 19326) and 10.0 g/t Au samples (B.C. assessment report 27589) taken by Barrick/Rimfire, and to explore that mineralization sequence.

On the Golden Fleece property, Gulfside will be the first company on the ground to analyze and follow up on a 1.02 g/t gold and four g/t silver quartz vein, which was under a now-retreated glacier. The company's findings on the Northern Treasure and Bryer groups, as well as the Golden Fleece, will help determine additional exploration programs.

Gulfside's Atlin properties lie approximately 120 km southeast of Atlin, B.C., and 150 km east of Dease Lake, B.C. They surround the Thorn (Brixton Metals/Kiska Metals joint venture) and the Trapper (Ocean Park Ventures/Constantine Metal Resources joint venture) property groups. Between these two property groups, there is a $6-million work program planned for this summer, including 13,000 metres of drilling.

Alex Burton, PEng, PGeo, a qualified person as defined by National Instruments 43-101, has read and approved the technical information in this news release.
