DynaCERT's HydraGEN tech tested in India

2018-02-27 11:48 ET - News Release

Mr. Murray Payne reports

DYNACERT PROVIDES UPDATE RE INDIA MATTERS

DynaCERT Inc. has provided an update on India matters.

India tour with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

Robert Maier, chief operating officer of DynaCERT, represented the company at the special dinner in New Delhi held in honour of Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, and has had numerous meetings with official groups and companies in India that expressed interest in the company's HydraGEN technology, including the several offices of the Indian central government, the Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Environment as well as City of Delhi officials. Discussions were mainly focused on India's keen interest in the environmental benefits of the technology. Other talks included senior representatives from The All India Motor Transport Congress, who had been hosted by DynaCERT in Toronto in November, 2017 (see press releases dated Nov. 2, 2017, and Dec. 4, 2017), and Ashok Leyland Ltd., which manufactures a wide range of equipment using diesel engines in India .

Ashok Leyland

Ashok Leyland, a company located in Gurgaon, India, is an original equipment manufacturer of diesel-powered vehicles for the South Asia marketplace with sales and service offices in strategic locations throughout the region. Ashok Leyland sells over 400,000 vehicles per year. Ashok Leyland operates in India and also exports to South Asian, Middle Eastern and African nations. DynaCERT has followed up with senior officials of Ashok Leyland and is furthering its relationship with the company.

All India Motor Transport Congress

The All India Motor Transport Congress also hosted DynaCERT chief operating officer, Mr. Maier, in New Delhi on Mr. Maier's trip to India. It was agreed that a grand launch of DynaCERT's HydraGEN technology in India will be organized by the AIMTC as part of its upcoming national conference to be held in New Delhi in April, 2018, and will include the Minister and senior officials of the Transport Ministry of India, OEMs based in India and other dignitaries of the road transportation industry of India. AIMTC members operate approximately 10 million diesel-powered trucks and buses across India. Of those members, the AIMTC has indicated that approximately 1.4 million trucks have a national permit in India and move across the nation. It is estimated that those trucks could potentially benefit most from DynaCERT's HydraGEN technology.

Automotive Research Association of India

The Automotive Research Association of India, is testing DynaCERT's HydraGEN technology under local road conditions in India. The ARAI is the co-operative industrial research association of the automotive industry with India's Ministry of Industries. Subject to receipt of a positive report of DynaCERT's HydraGEN technology by ARAI, the AIMTC has indicated that it would be prepared to recommend the use of the technology to its members.

As stated in a letter addressed to DynaCERT, dated Feb. 22, 2018, and signed by both president S.K. Mittal and chairman Kultaran Singh Atwal of the All India Motor Transport Congress: "The ongoing enthusiasm only hinges around the positive report from ARAI meeting the challenges of the Indian trucking conditions. AIMTC, then will recommend HydraGEN technology to its members accordingly for common good. Initially a tentative demand of 10,000 units could be expected that our members may order from DynaCERT directly to suit their particular engine needs.

"We have been also told by officials of Ashok Leyland that they agree in principle to place a bulk order, subject to the report from ARAI. In closing we are sure that AIMTC and DynaCERT have paved a strong foundation to build a synergistic association for times to come."

Mr. Maier stated: "We are very excited about the progress that we have made in our ongoing meetings, discussions and dialogue with groups and companies in India. Diesel engines, which cause insufferable air pollution, are a large part of everyday life in personal transport, commodity transport, intercity movement of people in India, and, for a large part of the community electrical power which requires stationary diesel generators. Indian officials that we have met with have been very receptive to the environmental benefits of the HydraGEN systems. We look forward to helping clean the environment with them."
