CI FINANCIAL REPORTS ASSETS UNDER MANAGEMENT

CI Financial Corp. had preliminary assets under management at May 31, 2017, of $123.3-billion and total assets of $164.0-billion.

Assets under management grew by $12.7-billion or 11.5 per cent year over year, and increased slightly in the month of May. Total assets gained $17.8-billion or 12.2 per cent for the 12-month period and were up 0.2 per cent in May.

CI's average assets under management for the quarter to date were $122.5-billion, up $3.1-billion or 2.6 per cent from the first quarter of 2017. Average assets under management for the year to date were $120.7-billion, a gain of $9.8-billion or 8.8 per cent from the average for fiscal year 2016.

CI reported assets under advisement at Assante Wealth Management (Canada) Ltd. and Stonegate Private Counsel of $40.7-billion at May 31, 2017, representing an increase of $5.1-billion or 14.3 per cent year over year.
