CI INVESTMENTS JOINS RESPONSIBLE INVESTMENT ASSOCIATION AS ASSOCIATE MEMBER
CI Financial Corp.'s CI Investments Inc. has become an associate member of the Responsible Investment Association (RIA).
The RIA is a Canadian industry association that promotes the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) into the selection and management of investments.
"As a signatory to the United Nations' principles for responsible investing (UNPRI), CI is pleased to expand our responsible investment proficiency by joining the RIA as an associate member," said Neal Kerr, president of CI Institutional asset management and executive vice-president of investment management at CI Investments. "We are dedicated to achieving the best-possible risk-adjusted returns for our investors and believe responsible investing can play a role in accomplishing that goal."

CI became a signatory to the UNPRI in February, 2017, which involves implementing its principles for responsible investment. In addition, CI adopted a responsible investment policy under which CI portfolio managers will incorporate ESG considerations as an element of their investment decision-making process.
