CI FINANCIAL REPORTS ASSETS UNDER MANAGEMENT

CI Financial Corp. had preliminary assets under management at March 31, 2017, of $120.9-billion and total assets of $160.5-billion.

Assets under management grew by $12.2-billion or 11.2 per cent year over year, and increased by 0.5 per cent in the month of March. Total assets gained $17.2-billion or 12.0 per cent for the 12-month period, and were up $1-billion or 0.6 per cent in the month of March.

CI's average assets under management for the first quarter of 2017 were $119.4-billion, representing an increase of $4.6-billion or 4.0 per cent over the average assets under management for the fourth quarter of 2016, and an increase of $8.5-billion or 7.7 per cent over the average for fiscal 2016.

CI reported assets under advisement at Assante Wealth Management (Canada) Ltd. and Stonegate Private Counsel of $39.6-billion at March 31, 2017, representing an increase of $5.0-billion or 14.5 per cent year over year.
