BIG ROCK BREWERY INC. ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF NEW DIRECTOR

Big Rock Brewery Inc. has appointed Gary J. McMullen to its board.

Founder, former president and owner of Muskoka Brewery, Mr. McMullen, comes to Big Rock Brewery with over 20 years of experience in the premium segment of the brewing industry. Mr. McMullen's deep roots in the Canadian craft brewing business also include his role as a founding member of the Canadian Association of Small Brewers and the Ontario Craft Brewers Association.

"The board couldn't be more pleased to have such a passionate and driven entrepreneur, founder and brewer join us. Mr. McMullen has built a reputation as a leader who is passionate about people and beer, and he will be a valued voice at Big Rock," says board chair John Hartley.

Mr. McMullen led Muskoka Brewery Inc. from 1996 to 2017, growing Muskoka Brewery tenfold, from 5,000 hectolitres to 52,000 hectolitres of premium-Muskoka-branded volume over a period of just eight years. Among his credentials is a bachelor of engineering, engineering and management from Royal Military College of Canada, strategic marketing management from Harvard University, Queen's University executive leadership course, and fellow of 2014 quantum shift from Ivey School of Business.
