BELMONT DISCUSSES EXTRACTION TESTING TECHNOLOGY AND FINALIZES DRILL HOLE LOCATIONS FOR KIBBY BASIN-NEVADA LITHIUM PROPERTY
Further to its news release of March 14, 2018, Belmont Resources Inc. has initiated discussions with companies in the lithium extraction space that have requested samples from the Kibby basin for testing the company's soils and brine. This is a very positive step in establishing the company's long-term strategy.
The company is planning up to five holes for the next phase of drilling, based on the potential aquifer locations indicated by the recent Quantec Geoscience's Spartan magnetotelluric (MT) survey. The company is finalizing its drilling contractor and anticipates the confirmation of its drill permits shortly.
As previously announced the company was very encouraged with last year's drill core assays, ranging from 70 parts per million to 200 ppm lithium with 13 of 25 core samples assaying over 100 ppm Li; indicating that the sediments could be a potential source of lithium for the underlying aquifers.
