S&P Dow Jones Indices Canadian Index Services will make changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian indices effective at the open on Monday, March 20, 2017.

In anticipation of the closing on March 17, 2017, of the acquisition of Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. by BCE Inc., Manitoba Telecom will be removed from the S&P/TSX Composite, Capped Composite and Composite Equal Weight, the S&P/TSX Completion, the S&P/TSX Capped Telecommunication Services, the S&P/TSX Composite Buyback and the S&P/TSX Composite Shareholder Yield indices, effective at the open of trading on Monday, March 20, 2017. The index shares of BCE will increase at the same time to reflect the issuance of shares as part of the transaction.

Changes to the S&P/TSX Composite Index will also affect the S&P/TSX Completion, Capped Composite and Equal Weight Composite indices. Stocks added to or removed from the S&P/TSX Composite Index will also be added to or removed from the appropriate global industry classification standard (GICS) sector index.
