The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday edition Bell Media is launching a new video streaming service that will include the entire HBO scripted off-air library. A Canadian Press dispatch to The Globe quotes the BCE unit as saying the "Project Latte" subscription service will feature premium programming, including "The Sopranos," "The Wire," and "Sex and the City." "The Wire" will feature HD streaming. Other HBO programs in the service include "Six Feet Under," "Band of Brothers," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Big Love," "Entourage" and "In Treatment." It will also feature the complete HBO Films catalogue, HBO Documentaries and HBO standup comedy specials -- more than 10,000 hours of TV content in all. The service will be made available to all TV subscribers in Canada, pending agreements with participating TV providers, through their set-top box. It will also be available via apps, on-line and other platforms. "With content from all key Hollywood major and independent studios, 'Project Latte' does not duplicate existing services, but instead features additive and exclusive programming," Bell Media said in a statement. BCE closed Thursday at $49.75, up 46 cents on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
