Brien Lundin, in the April, 2016, edition of the Gold Newsletter, says hold Balmoral Resources Ltd., recently 51 cents. Mr. Lundin said buy in July, 2014, at $1.54 and in March, 2015, at $1.03. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each of the two buys, the $2,000 position is now worth $825. Balmoral has been busy lately in the Detour trend of Quebec. It recently released an initial resource estimate for its Grasset nickel-copper-cobalt-PGE (platinum group elements) project, covering the H1 and H3 zones. The zones together have an indicated resource of 136.7 million pounds of nickel equivalent and an inferred resource of 2.4 million pounds of NiEq. Though the metal grades at Grasset are modest, its sheer size makes it one to watch, reckons Mr. Lundin. Separately, Balmoral has resumed drilling at its Martiniere gold project, where it will focus on the southern areas of the Bug Lake gold trend. Previous exploration at Martiniere has suggested that the project is "very much open to growth," says Mr. Lundin. Though his general preference these days is for active miners and developers, he is more than willing to keep a "quality" explorer like Balmoral in his portfolio. The stock is a hold, pending the drill results from Martiniere.
