BROOKFIELD ASSET MANAGEMENT ANNOUNCES PRICING OF US$500 MILLION NOTE OFFERING

Brookfield Asset Management Inc. has priced its previously announced public offering of notes due 2025. Due to investor demand, the size of the offering was increased from $350-million (U.S.) to $500-million (U.S.). The notes will have an interest rate of 4.0 per cent. The net proceeds of the offering will be used for general corporate purposes. The offering is expected to close on or about Jan. 15, 2015.

The notes will be offered under Brookfield's existing base-shelf prospectus filed in the United States and Canada. The offering will be made only by means of a prospectus supplement relating to the offering of the notes. You may obtain these documents for free on EDGAR or on SEDAR.
