Brien Lundin, in the July, 2017, edition of the Gold Newsletter, refreshes his buy of Alexco Resource Corp., recently $1.72. He previously said buy in December, 2016, at $1.80 and in June, 2017, at $1.75. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each of the two buys, the $2,000 position is now worth $1,936. In this brief update, Mr. Lundin says Alexco recently raised $9.04-million by issuing 4.2 million flow-through shares at $2.15. It originally intended to raise just $7-million, but boosted the amount to satisfy investor demand. The money will go toward the company's various properties in the Keno Hill silver district of the Yukon. Mr. Lundin takes the financing as a sign that "seasoned investors" are showing interest in Alexco and its Yukon properties. The stock remains a buy.
