ALTAIR ANNOUNCES EXTENSION OF UNIT PRIVATE PLACEMENT

The TSX Venture Exchange has granted Altair Ventures Inc. an extension to Aug. 6, 2010, to file final documentation regarding a non-brokered private placement, first announced in Stockwatch on June 2, 2010, of five million units at a price of 10 cents per unit, for gross proceeds of $500,000. The company requested this extension in order to permit it to complete its discussions with prospective subscribers.
