ANGKOR GOLD CORP. CLOSES PRIVATE PLACEMENT

Angkor Gold Corp. has closed a private placement of 582,750 units at a price of 20 cents per unit. Each unit consists of one common share in the capital of the company and one transferable warrant, with each full warrant entitling the holder to purchase one additional common share at a price of 25 cents per common share for a period of two years and subject to an acceleration clause. Proceeds of the financing are anticipated to be used for general working capital.

All securities issued in the financing are subject to a statutory hold period expiring four months and one day after closing.
