EXPIRY OF EXCLUSIVITY PERIOD

Further to the news release dated Aug. 28, 2014, the 60-day period of exclusivity granted to Mekong Minerals NL has now expired. Amanta Resources Ltd. has informed Mekong that it will not extend the exclusivity period.

On Dec. 9, 2013, the company announced that it had agreed to terms with Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corp. regarding the purchase by Amanta of an additional 10-per-cent interest in the Luang Namtha project in northern Laos. The purchase was subject to Amanta securing a source of financing necessary to meet exploration commitments by no later than 60 days from Dec. 2, 2013, which condition was not met. Amanta and JOGMEC are continuing to explore options for the Luang Namtha project.

As a result of the expiry of the exclusivity period with Mekong Minerals, Amanta is now pursuing other avenues available to it to refinance and restructure the company.
