BARRICK ANNOUNCES DIVIDEND

Barrick Gold Corp.'s board of directors has declared a dividend for the quarter of two U.S. cents per share, payable on Sept. 15, 2016, to shareholders of record at the close of business on Aug. 31, 2016.

The declaration and payment of dividends are at the discretion of the board of directors, and will depend on the company's financial results, cash requirements and future prospects, as well as other factors deemed relevant by the board.
