The TSX Venture Exchange closed up 1.13 points to 580.17 Tuesday. Brook Riggins and Neil Johnson have listed their first capital pool shell, Rozdil Capital Corp. (ROZ: $0.16). It sold a $215,000 initial public offering at 10 cents through Haywood Securities Inc. Today there was one trade for 500,000 shares at 16 cents.
Mr. Riggins, 53, was an analyst with Canaccord Capital Inc. from 1997 to 2002. He spent the first two of those years in Vancouver and the last three in London. He later spent 2-1/2 years as the chief investment officer of Limetree Capital AG, a private equity firm in Zurich. Since 2006, he has been living in Prague and managing his own financial consulting firm, Beruscha Capital SRO.
Over the years, Mr. Riggins has been a director, investor relations man or shareholder of tech, biotech and medical device companies. In 2011, he spent nine months on the board of Aurora Solar Technologies Inc. (ACU: $0.045), which at the time was trading around 36 cents.
