The TSX Venture Exchange gained 3.01 points to close at 579.04 Monday. Salim Ansari's first capital pool shell, Nurcapital Corporation Ltd. (NCL: suspended), has arranged a simple mining deal for its qualifying transaction. It plans to acquire the Lac Savignac diamond exploration property in Quebec from an arm's-length seller, Globex Mining Enterprises Inc. (GMX: $0.385). Nurcapital must pay $50,000 to close the deal. Over the next two years, it must pay another $250,000 and spend $1-million on exploration. To help finance the exploration work, the shell is selling a $600,000 private placement at 15 cents. It had working capital of $263,756 on March 31.
Globex owns 160 properties in North America. Its main projects are a Quebec gold project and an Ontario talc-magnesite project. It has not done any drilling at Lac Savignac. A previous operator, Dios Exploration Inc. (DOS: $0.04), conducted a sampling program at Lac Savignac in 2003. Dios has since decided to focus on gold in Quebec. Nurcapital expects to release a technical report on Lac Savignac in the next few weeks.
