The TSX Venture Exchange gained 1.62 points to 625.16 Friday, ending the week up 1.89 points. Father-and-son Lal and Vincent Narang's first capital pool shell, Green Rise Capital Corp. (GRCC: halted), plans to acquire a grandly named vegetable farming company, Bull Market Farms Inc., for the shell's qualifying transaction. The shell, which has 11,375,000 shares issued, will issue 30 million shares to its target's shareholders. Before the deal can close, the shell must sell a $3.67-million private placement at 20 cents.
Bull Market Farms grows mostly tomatoes and peppers on an 81-acre property in Leamington, Ont., near Windsor. Its property includes housing for employees as well as 50.4 acres of greenhouse space. It plans to add strawberries and cucumbers to its crops. (No, the shell and its target do not say anything about marijuana.) We should find out whether Bull Market Farms is profitable when Green Rise Capital submits its QT filing statement.
