The TSX Venture Exchange closed up 7.53 points to 615.93 Friday, ending the week up 3.99 points. David Henderson has filed a preliminary prospectus to list his first capital pool shell, CE Brands Inc. It plans to sell a $200,000 to $500,000 initial public offering at 10 cents through Integral Wealth Securities Ltd., a 15-year-old investment dealer that does not often do business with shells. Integral Wealth's head office is in Toronto, and it has branches in five other cities including Calgary and Vancouver, as well as the town of Sidney, B.C.
Mr. Henderson, 39, is a geological consultant. From 2005 to 2013, he ran a Calgary company called Henderson & Associates Petroleum Consultants Ltd., which offered geological consulting services and developed its own software for drill core logging. Mr. Henderson sold this company in 2013 to Maxxam Analytics Inc., an energy and environmental lab. He joined Maxxam and was its general manager of geoscience for two years. He then took a break for a year and half, during which he apparently enjoyed his sailboat named Blanchette.
