The TSX Venture Exchange closed up 3.19 points to 590.63 Monday. William Ollerhead has filed a preliminary prospectus to list his first capital pool shell, Cuspis Capital Ltd. It plans to sell a $500,000 to $1-million initial public offering at 20 cents through Industrial Alliance Securities Inc.
Mr. Ollerhead, 53, was an equity analyst from 1989 to 1992 with the Canadian subsidiary of MetLife Inc. (MET: $42.55 (U.S.)). Afterward, he spent four years as an investment officer with Sun Life Financial Inc. (SLF: $45.15) followed by one year working in corporate finance at Midland Walwyn Inc. Since 1997, he has been the managing director of two corporate finance advisory firms in Toronto: Chunkerhead Ltd. and its subsidiary, Ollerhead Capital Corp. Besides offering his financial advisory services through these two companies, Mr. Ollerhead sits on the board of a sailing club and is the president and treasurer of a basketball club in Toronto.
