The TSX Venture Exchange closed up a fraction to 564.14 Tuesday. Peter Rona has filed a preliminary prospectus to list his first capital pool shell, Bold Capital Enterprises Ltd. It plans to sell a $200,000 to $500,000 initial public offering at 10 cents through Leede Jones Gable Inc.

The shell sold 3.8 million escrow shares at five cents between September and November. Its chief executive officer, Mr. Rona, 72, bought 400,000 of them. He lives in Montreal. From 1985 to 2000, he was the president and CEO of Networks North Inc., which provided educational media, pay-per-view services to hotels, and other media and entertainment products. Networks North traded on the Nasdaq from March, 1998, to September, 2000, during which it gradually rose to about $6 (U.S.) from about $2.50 (U.S.). In August, 2000, however, there was a spike to $11.43 (U.S.), thanks to the company's acquisition of $28.65-million (U.S.) worth of assets from a tech start-up financier who is familiar to shell investors, Cameron Chell. When the deal closed in September, 2000, Networks North changed its name to Chell Group Corp., and Mr. Rona relinquished the president and CEO positions to Mr. Chell.
