The TSX Venture Exchange fell 11.55 points to 699.81 Tuesday. Giuseppe (Pino) Perone has filed a preliminary prospectus to list his first capital pool shell, PLB Capital Corp. The shell plans to sell a $200,000 initial public offering at 10 cents through Haywood Securities Inc.
Mr. Perone, 39, is a lawyer in Vancouver. He is the corporate secretary and general counsel for TAG Oil Ltd. (TAO: $0.395), a junior oil and gas producer in New Zealand and Australia. He is also the chief executive officer of an NEX listing, Coronado Resources Ltd. (CRD), which is halted pending a change of business. Coronado used to be a mining junior. In February, 2017, it sold its only asset, a copper-gold property in Montana, for $250,000 and one million shares of the buyer, Broadway Gold Mining Ltd. (BRD: $0.135). Eight months after the sale, in October, 2017, Mr. Perone took over as Coronado's CEO.
