The TSX Venture Exchange closed up 4.20 points to 719.36 Monday. Geoff Balderson has listed his sixth capital pool shell, Dynamo Capital Corp. (DDD: $0.20), with a $250,000 initial public offering at 10 cents. Its IPO agent was PI Financial Corp. Dynamo's stock opened at 10.5 cents and closed at 20 cents on 20,500 shares.

Mr. Balderson was a broker with Union Securities Ltd. from 2001 to 2005. Before that, he was with Georgia Pacific Securities Corp. He listed his first five capital pool shells between 2007 and 2012. The first shell launched Zimtu Capital Corp. (ZC: $0.225), an investment issuer that focuses on natural resources. The next three shells launched mining juniors: Argentum Silver Corp. (ASL: $0.19), Goldeneye Resources Corp. (GOE: $0.15) and Sunvest Minerals Corp. (SSS: $0.05). The fifth capital pool shell, Aim Explorations Ltd., completed its qualifying transaction in February of this year. It launched DMG Blockchain Solutions Inc. (DMGI: $0.26). The IPO investors of all five shells had sufficient opportunity to get out of their investment with a profit after each shell closed its QT, so we consider the five shells to have been successes. Mr. Balderson's shell-making record of five successes and zero failures is unfortunately rare. It is much more common to have a record such as: three successes, two failures.
