The TSX Venture Exchange gained 10.68 points to 776.14 Tuesday. Rudy Cheddie has filed a final prospectus to list his first capital pool shell, Cherry Street Capital Inc. It is selling a $525,000 to $750,000 initial public offering at 50 cents through Canaccord Genuity Corp. Mr. Cheddie, 63, is the president of Soroc Technology Inc., a Toronto company that offers information technology services. He founded Soroc in 1981. He has not yet been a public company director.
Since filing its preliminary prospectus in January, Cherry Street has added a director, Josh Arbuckle, 47. He is a partner at law firm Chitiz Pathak LLP and a director of Toronto car leasing company Axis Auto Finance Inc. (AXIS: $0.65). Mr. Arbuckle is also the secretary and a director of David Mitchell's seventh capital pool shell, Commerce Acquisition Corp., which is selling a $500,000 to $1-million IPO at 20 cents through Industrial Alliance Securities Inc.
