The TSX Venture Exchange fell 8.17 points to 876.79 Thursday. Paul Andreola has filed a preliminary prospectus to list his first capital pool shell, Ironwood Capital Corp. The shell plans to sell a $202,400 initial public offering at 20 cents, through Canaccord Genuity Corp.

Ironwood sold 1.5 million escrowed shares at 10 cents in August, 2017. Mr. Andreola, 54, holds 700,000 of them. For nearly five years now, Mr. Andreola has been the chief executive officer and a director of Brisio Innovations Inc. (BZI: $0.37). He formed this tech investment company out of a junior resource promotion called Netco Silver Inc. (previously Netco Energy Inc.). Brisio Innovations began by acquiring mobile apps. In June, 2014, it briefly talked about developing a bitcoin payment system, but apparently that was a little too early for a bitcoin promotion. As of Sept. 30, 2017, Brisio had $4.87-million worth of investments in 10 companies including a fibre optics promotion called Lite Access Technologies Inc. (LTE: $1.37) and a biotech promotion called Immunoprecise Antibodies Ltd. (IPA: $0.60). As well as managing Brisio, Mr. Andreola runs an investment newsletter website called Small Cap Discoveries. Subscribers may gain access to his insights for $249 for three months.
