The TSX Venture Exchange fell a fraction to 771.07 Thursday. Michael England's capital pool shell, BTU Capital Corp. (BTU: $0.14), has completed its qualifying transaction by acquiring an option for the Shakespeare gold property in Northern Ontario. The shell, which had 2,553,334 issued shares, issued another 900,000 shares to the optionor group, comprising Don McKinnon Jr., Steve Anderson, Amanda Salo and Leigh Parnham. Mr. McKinnon Jr. is a son of the late Hemlo prospector Don McKinnon Sr. This optionor group has sold other properties to Mr. England's former promotions, including GeoNovus Minerals Corp., which traded up to 60 cents in 2014, and Caribou King Resources Ltd., which went up to 22 cents in 2015. After Mr. England left GeoNovus, the company remade itself into a media promotion and is now called Imagination Park Entertainment Inc. (IP: $0.25). As for Caribou King, it now trades as CKR Carbon Corp. (CKR: $0.09) and still has Mr. England on its board, but he is no longer the chief executive officer.
