The TSX Venture Exchange gained 4.87 points to 794.51 Friday, ending the week up 3.07 points. Joanne Yan has filed a new preliminary prospectus to list her third capital pool shell, Avanco Capital Corp. In June and July, 2016, Ms. Yan filed the preliminary and final prospectuses for a $500,000 initial public offering of Avanco shares at 10 cents. Now, the shell is selling a $400,000 IPO at 10 cents. Its IPO agent is still Haywood Securities Inc.
Avanco's new prospectus reflects two more changes. First, Michael Evans has replaced Hunter Wang as a director of the shell. Second, the shell now has 2.8 million escrowed shares, up from two million. Mr. Evans, 57, is a chartered financial analyst and the principal of Evans & Evans Inc., a 28-year-old financial advisory firm with offices in Vancouver, Toronto and Shanghai. As well as being a CFA, Mr. Evans is also a chartered business valuator (Canada) and an accredited senior appraiser (United States). He has been a director of more than a dozen public companies, including Alykhan Mamdani and Dennis Nerland's capital pool shell, Intermedia Capital Corp., which in 2003 launched the Alberta oil field service provider Savanna Energy Services Corp. (SVY: $2.10).
