The TSX Venture Exchange rose 7.91 points to 686.14 Friday, ending the week up 6.46 points. Chris Wolfenberg's halted, four-year-old capital pool shell, Golden Sun Capital Inc. (GST), has revised the terms of its qualifying transaction with Voyageur Industrial Minerals Ltd. The shell, which has 4,614,800 shares issued, had originally planned to issue 43.7 million shares to acquire Voyageur. Now, Golden Sun will roll back 1 for 2, leaving it with 2,307,400 postconsolidated shares issued -- thank you for your service, current shareholders -- then issue 26,595,150 postconsolidated shares to Voyageur's shareholders.
Voyageur's controlling shareholders are brothers Bradley and Brent Willis, both engineers living in Calgary. Their company owns the Frances Creek, Jubilee Mountain and Pedley Mountain barite prospects near Radium Hot Springs, B.C. The three prospects cover a total of 1,815 hectares. Barite is mostly used as a component of drilling fluids for oil and gas exploration, but it is also included as an ingredient in plastics, paint, cement and glass ceramics.
