The TSX Venture Exchange added 11.76 points to 776.63 Friday, ending the week up 6.37 points. Rocky Bellotti's first capital pool shell, BFK Capital Corp. (BFK), will list on the TSX-V Monday. It will be the second capital pool shell to list this month, following David Danziger's Aumento Capital V Corp. (AMN), and the 18th this year. Canaccord Genuity Corp. sold BFK's $600,000 initial public offering of one million shares at 60 cents (the broker also handled Aumento Capital V's IPO at 60 cents). There are now 155 capital pool shells floating on the TSX-V and the NEX, of which 47 are halted, 37 are suspended, and 71 are trading, most of which are available for a qualifying transaction.

Earlier this year, BFK sold 1,666,665 escrow shares at 30 cents to 17 insiders, mostly in Toronto. Mr. Bellotti, the shell's 28-year-old president, owns 116,667 escrow shares. He has a law degree and is a vice-president at papa Frank Bellotti and Ned Goodman's BG Partners Inc., which invests in resource companies. Although Mr. Bellotti Sr. is not on the board of his son's first capital pool shell, he controls 166,666 escrow shares and should be close enough to provide supervision should the apprentices need it.
