The TSX Venture Exchange fell 3.55 points to 996.22 Thursday. David Patterson and Colin Watt's halted capital pool shell, Oakham Capital Corp. (OKM), plans to acquire the Kamouraska silica property in Quebec as its qualifying transaction.

The shell will issue a total of four million shares to three vendors, Steven Lauzier, Bruce Duncan and Olga Nikitovic. The property is in the Bas-St.-Laurent region of Quebec, 390 kilometres northeast of Montreal. There is little known about the silica property. In 1999, according to historical records, a prospector did some sampling, and the company interprets those sampling results to mean the property has "considerable unexplored potential."

Following the QT, one of the vendors, Mr. Duncan, will take over as chief executive officer and join the board. He is already active in Quebec with another promotion, Canada Carbon Inc. (CCB: $0.245), which is exploring its Miller graphite project. Ms. Nikitovic, another of the vendors, will become chief financial officer and corporate secretary. She is also the CFO at Mr. Duncan's Canada Carbon. Mr. Lauzier, a geologist and the third vendor, will not join the board. Mr. Duncan is also responsible for selling a $900,000 private placement of 17-cent flow-through units and 15-cent non-flow-through units.
