The TSX Venture Exchange added 6.47 points to 1,012.24 Friday, ending the week down 10.69 points. David Mitchell, a busy shell-maker in Toronto, has a new capital pool shell, Whiteknight Acquisitions III Inc. (WKA), which will list Monday. It will be the second capital pool shell to list this month and the eighth this year. Bardya Ziaian's BBS Securities Inc., a broker dealer in Toronto, sold the shell's $586,100 initial public offering of 2,930,500 shares at 20 cents.

Whiteknight III has 2.21 million shares in escrow, of which 1.79 million sold at 10 cents and 420,000 sold at 20 cents (the pricier escrow shares went to brokers). Mr. Mitchell, the shell's chief executive officer, controls 300,000 escrow shares through his Stillbridge Ventures Inc. The shell has four other directors, each with 300,000 escrow shares. They are Josh Arbuckle, a Toronto lawyer, Keith Harris, a chartered accountant, Peter Beck, a former Goldman Sachs banker, and Harold Wolkin, who worked for 25 years at BMO Capital Markets until 2008.
