New York spot gold lost $2.90 to $1,275.00 on Tuesday. The TSX Venture Exchange fell 0.95 point to 751.29 while the TSX Gold Index rose 0.05 point to 191.81. Canadian gold miners moved little again today, although Yamana Gold Inc. (YRI) managed a 12-cent gain to $4.06 on 5.91 million shares and Detour Gold Corp. (DGC) added eight cents to $10.57 on 916,000 shares. Goldcorp Inc. (G) went the other way. It fell 28 cents to $18.22 on 2.77 million shares.

Robert McLeod and Michael McPhie's IDM Mining Ltd. (IDM), up one-half cent to 7.5 cents on 1.67 million shares, has updated its resource estimate for the Red Mountain gold project in the Golden Triangle district of northwestern British Columbia. The company lists 2.77 million tonnes measured and indicated at 7.91 grams of gold and 22.75 grams of silver per tonne, plus 316,000 tonnes inferred at 6.04 grams of gold and 7.6 grams of silver per tonne, for a combined 765,000 ounces of gold and 2.1 million ounces of silver. The previous estimate, prepared in early 2017, listed just under 650,000 ounces of gold and 1.76 million ounces of silver.
