Most Canadian gold miners moved little today. Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. (AEM) added 70 cents to $54.33 on 868,000 shares while Endeavour Mining Corp. (EDV) fell six cents to $22.91 on 242,000 shares.

Terrance MacGibbon and Fred Stanford's Torex Gold Resources Inc. (TXG) leapt $3.91 to $11.57 on 2.94 million shares on word that negotiations have ended an illegal blockade of the company's El Limon-Guajes (ELG) gold mine in Guerrero, Mexico. As a result, mining in the El Limon pit is expected to resume today. The processing plant has been running uninterrupted since it resumed operation in mid-January. Torex's ELG woes began in early November, when a union attempted to bully its way into representing the company's miners, who already had union representation that most were happy with. The renegades set up a blockade and after bouts of violence, Torex suspended mining at ELG.
