New York spot gold fell $15.30 to $1,323.70 on Tuesday. The TSX Venture Exchange gained 26.42 points to 820.65 while the TSX Gold Index fell 4.17 points to 183.47. Torex Gold Resources Inc. Nav Dhaliwal's Bonterra Resources Inc. (BTR), up one cent to 55 cents on 439,000 shares, has received assays of up to 26 grams of gold per tonne across 3.1 metres at its Gladiator gold deposit, in the Windfall camp in Quebec's Urban Barry district. The assays, which showed gold across all six new holes, included a few other high-grade hits, including 15.8 grams per tonne across 3.3 metres, 12.4 grams per tonne across 2.7 metres and 10.1 grams per tonne across 6.3 metres. Bonterra's vice-president of exploration, Dale Ginn, lauded the continuing "strong results" from the resource development drill program at Gladiator. He says that the assays highlight the predictability of the mineralized zones and support further expansion of the high-grade shoots at depth.
