New York spot gold gained $14.60 to $1,317.10 on Tuesday. The TSX Venture Exchange rose 20.32 points to 871.04 while the TSX Gold Index added 3.88 points to 199.34. McEwen Mining Inc. (MUX) was strong, adding 23 cents to $3.09 on 981,000 shares. Torex Gold Resources Inc. (TXG) bucked bullion's trend, dropping 46 cents to $11.47 on 830,000 shares.
Ellen Clements's New Nadina Explorations Ltd. (NNA) may already be one of the biggest busts of 2018. The stock, which ran from eight cents in late October to a mid-November high of $4.60, based on eyeball assessments of drill core, dipped as low as 45 cents in intraday trading today before ending the day down $2.82 to 48 cents on 6.95 million shares. The crash came on the heels of the long-awaited assays from two of three holes drilled at the company's Silver Queen precious and base metals project near Houston in central British Columbia.

Sorry - gotta comment - NNA - she put the "news" out at 5:55pm on the Friday before New Years Monday - would make old time Howe Streeters blush!! But you know who needs to wear some of this as well? All the Regulators at the Exchange and the Commision who let this "charade" slide for as long as they did - what a joke! Saw this train comin'!!
