Dan Omeniuk's MX Gold Corp. (MXL: $0.15) expects to have its Magistral processing plant on the Magistral Del Oro tailings project in Durango, Mexico, operational by November. MX Gold acquired a 50-per-cent interest in the project earlier this year. Magistral includes a $4.5-million (U.S.) processing facility that was built in 2013 and operated for several months. It was mothballed in 2014 after flooding and operational problems prevented it from operating near capacity. MX Gold bought its way into the project for $1-million (U.S.) and it has been working to expand, and presumably fix, the plant so it can run at 1,000 tonnes per day.
