(PG) lost eight cents to $2.82 on 1.01 million shares.
George Salamis and Stephen de Jong's Integra Gold Corp. (ICG) leapt 33 cents to $1.13 on 80.5 million shares on word that the company has agreed to be acquired by George Burns's Eldorado Gold Corp. (ELD). Eldorado will pay $1.21 per share for each share of Integra, in cash, stock, or a combination of both. The $590-million offer represents a premium of 52 per cent to last Friday's close, and 46 per cent to the four-week average share prices. Eldorado was after Integra for its Lamaque project in the Abitibi region of Quebec, which has an indicated resource of 5.1 million tonnes at 9.13 grams of gold per tonne and 3.5 million tonnes inferred at 7.94 grams per tonne, or roughly 2.4 million ounces in all.
