The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Wednesday was a positive 77-71-142. The TSX Venture Exchange limped up four points to 604 while polished diamond prices lost 0.1 per cent. Gerald Panneton's Prophecy Development Corp. (PCY) gained 1.5 cents to 47 cents on 1.41 million shares. The company is raising $5.5-million at 46 cents for more work on its Gibellini vanadium project in Nevada.
Gary Thompson's Brixton Metals Corp. (BBB), up one-half cent to 16 cents on 139,000 shares, is pleased with new geophysical data from its Langis project near Cobalt in Northeastern Ontario. Langis was, and probably still is, a cobalt and silver project, but the company discovered a kimberlite during summer drilling. It was an unspectacular encounter: One hole yielded just 15 metres of kimberlite, a second managed 14 metres and the third hit 44 metres of kimberlite. The company has wrapped up a ground gravity survey near the discovery, delineating a target about 500 metres long and 230 metres wide.
